Committee Structure

Executive Steering Committee
The Executive Steering Committee (ESC) will provide overall direction including oversight and counsel to the Working Committee, review and approve key milestones and drafts, and validate the plan conclusions.  The ESC will consider and advise the project team on sensitive decisions or issues that affect or potentially affect strategic positions, plans, and policies of the institution and their public relations implications.  The ESC will periodically and before key project decisions, hear reports and updates from the Working Committee re: the project schedule, scope, budget, and interactions with the stakeholder groups.

Cornell Master Plan for the Ithaca Campus Working Committee (CMPWC)
The CMPWC, led by the University Planner and the Vice Provost, will be the main working group supporting the master plan process and will provide guidance and coordination to the Consultant Team, the University Planner and the Executive Steering Committee.  The CMPWC will initially be involved in the consultant selection process, reviewing proposals and advising the Executive Steering Committee on the evaluation process. 
 
The CMPWC will report back periodically to the Executive Steering Committee at regular intervals and before key milestones in the project.  The CMPWC includes representatives from the faculty, Deans, senior administration, students, employees and key facilities staff.  For the duration of the plan, the CMPWC will meet on a bi-weekly basis (or as needed), and provide input, planning data, technical ideas, feedback and review for the process and proposed planning solutions.

Campus Planning Committee
 The Campus Planning Committee is an associate committee of the University Assemblies and will provide input to the CMPWC throughout the duration of the planning process.  The CPC will act as a sounding board at key points in the development of the plan, providing input from diverse campus constituencies.
